Last night I visited Ray’s Living Room, a snuggly-chic art gallery that opened six months ago on Brickel Street in the Short North. Named in memory of a beloved arts leader, it’s owned by prominent restauranteurs and aims to spotlight local ingenuity. Works by Stephanie Rond and Roger J. Williams are currently on display. Stephanie is a dear friend and charismatic feminist whose elegant grafitti-inspired statements redefine 21st-century empowerment. Roger is a tirelessly bold deconstructionist painter who continues to test new energies of light and space and form. Thanks to Ray’s, we have yet another neighborhood nook offering visual and intellectual sustenance.
